- This facility became necessary to facilitate the disposal of solid waste being generated by industrial units in an environmentally safe manner. It is necessary to fulfill the requirement of the provisions of Hazardous Waste (Management and handling) Rules 1989 framed under Environment (Protection) Act 1986.
- Clean Development Mechanism (CDM )

- This mechanism grants emission credits to developing country (Annex – 1 Country) that invest in emission reduction projects in developing country (Non Annex – 1 Country). The carbon credits that accrue to a CDM project are termed Certified Emission Reduction (CERs) and they are issued by an international body called the CDM Executive Board.
